Shirley sends this information -- we have put this up many times,
but it bears repeating.  However, Poufies should understand that this method works, attracts ANTS!

"I grew up with this method for my petticoats.  Lots of sugar in hot water --- enough to cover it only --- no more --- to dissolve it --- and let it set in it awhile ---30 minutes or so. Gently take it out --- DO NOT SHAKE IT OFF --- just hang it to dry.  It should crystallize it upon drying and you should see sugar crystals.  Lots of sugar now, gals.

"The forthcoming movie The Libertine, with John Malkovich (looks promising), set in the 17th century, about a rake and womanizerI do have a piece of beautiful 60-yard wide dove grey heavy silk taffeta used in one costume of a dress, made specially in France for the film; the taffeta is gorgeous, with a very very loud rustle, fine rib and heavy."

"CD-ers may find it useful to consult the 30-second flow chart at The Fashion Calculator (www.thebodycalculator.com/calcflow.htm) to match one's best fashion style with one's unique body type (for example, what looks best with "tall and plump," or "tall and skinny," etc.). It's completely free, and it's a permanent URL."

"I was looking at the site, more specifically the What to DO When You're All Poufed Up section.
I had a little *giggles* accident that could be fun.  As you know, I wear a fairly large hoopskirt and
me and my friend, who also wears one, were walking outside at my house one day by my pool and she decided to push me in *giggles*.  Needless to say my gown turned into an inner tube and I stayed afloat :).  So if there are any other hoop wearers out there you can tell them that :)."

"The picture, from a local newspaper, is from a play now showing in San Diego entitled I Love You - You're Perfect - Now Change.   The woman in this particular scene is singing 'Always a Bridesmaid, Never A Bride' and is wearing a bright pink satin bridesmaids dress (note the large bow on the bodice) with a very full petticoat sticking out all around.

All in all, a very nice picture!"

Elizabeth recently purchased ALL the Pond Girl CD sets (see below), and here what she has to say (we will try to take his advice):
"Today's mail brought the CD-ROM of the photo sets of UniKaren and Allison.  Needless to say, all of the pictures are ALL beautiful!   And I really like the write-ups from Allison, too.  Next you'll have to work on getting voice to include with the pictures.  Now, THAT would really be something!   :-)

Thank you so much for making all these eye candy treats available to us.  WE LOVE YOU!!!"

Petti-Sighting!

Just after midnight on New Year's Eve, Tessy happened upon The Late Night with Conan
O'Brien
Show.  Lo and  behold, perky actress Amy Sedaris was wearing a scrumptious, VERY full dress with petticoats!  Is this coming back in style (at least for celebrities)?  A  co-guest was
demonstrating wild animals, and, as she drew away from each one in girlish 'terror', we were
treated to a bountiful display of pettis!  The biggest surprise came when she stood up and turned around, revealing that the dress had what appeared to be a bustle of sorts -- pouf was sticking out
of the back of her dress (vertically). Certainly dramatic!  What a wonderful New Year's present!
AnyPoufie get a clip?  GREAT dress!
